At my desk…

September 1st – fall really seems to be in the air!  I have an outdoor session scheduled for later today and one for tomorrow, but it is threatening rain.  I always encourage my clients to book early – because once this time of year comes around – it seems like we run out of days...

Inge - What a gorgeous self-portrait Marlene! You look so glamorous! :-)

How do you choose?

On August 13th I had Kas, Lorraine, Blake & Kaylee come in for a family portrait session.  Kas is my ‘go to’ guy for all things computer related!  I’ve been using his services for over a year and couldn’t be happier.  Whenever I have a problem I just have to call him and he takes...

Inge - You don’t! You take them all! :-) ))

Now some people might call these ‘Lifestyle’ photographs, but these are MORE than that! You have control of the lighting and posing even though it doesn’t look like you have posed this family. Now THAT’S what professional photography is all about – making it look unposed when you have actually guided people into position. They’re NOT just ‘snapshots’ like all the ‘cheap and cheerful’ photographers out there claim are ‘Lifestyle’ photography. You have captured the relationships in this family perfectly, and I can feel the warmth among the family members. How lucky are they to have had you as their photographer!

Inge - It all makes my mouth water Marlene! … and what do you mean you aren’t much of a cook?!? You have cooked for me and I’ve been blown away! Keep up the experimenting… that’s how you create new and wonderful dishes. On a scale of 1-5 yums, this dish looks to be a 5! :-)

Photo of the Day

Last weekend I made a whirlwind trip to Vancouver to see my nephew.  He’s been living and working there for about a year and absolutely loves the views in and around Vancouver!   He asked me to come out and photograph some of his favorite views for wall decor in his home and office.  I...
