Brandon Doggie Park – Ste. Agathe Roman Catholic Church

This past weekend I spent Easter with my good friends, Inge & Michael Skliros at their home in Brandon, Manitoba.    Part of the highlite of my weekend was spending time at the Doggie Park on Victoria Avenue East.  Inge and Michael have two beautiful Hungarian Viszla dogs, Hunter and Grissom.  They had been cooped...

Inge - We were at the same park at the same time and boy, did we see things differently! Love the shots of the ‘boys’, especially the one where they’re going full tilt! And the images of Ste. Agathe RC Church are simply outstanding. Talk about ‘sweet’ light!!!!! Just gorgeous!!!!

WPPI Convention – Las Vegas!

One week ago I was in the desert outside of Las Vegas in Red Rock Canyon.  That was the end of my short time in Vegas where I attended the WPPI Convention (Wedding & Portrait Photographers International).  I saw some wonderful speakers and as always, picked up some wonderful ideas for photography and my business. ...

Inge - I love the ‘edginess’ (is that a word???) of these photographs Marlene. Just perfect for a city like Las Vegas. And the desert shots truly reflect how I expect a desert to look – stark, barren, dried out, brown, prickly… you get the picture. And yes, you DID get the ‘picture’! :-) Awesome stuff!!!!

another ‘in home’ portrait session!

I spent the last 4 days in Brandon again and had a few adventures.  Firstly the drive through white-out conditions was tense – then an evening viewing some wonderful images at a “Wine & Cheese” Reception featuring some African images, then a maternity session and a portrait session!   I’ll be posting these from the last...

Inge - Oh Marlene…. These are so wonderful! I am speechless, which is very unusual for me. :-D You have truly captured the love Michael and I have for each other, and I believe that no one in this whole world could have done this, except for you. You are ‘family’, and hence you can respond to the love we have for each other. Thank you for being a friend, a mentor, a business adivsor and our family photographer. We love you!

Desmond - The last image is spectacular! I told Inge that she has to do something with it, Definitely!! It’s so emotionally charged – perhaps we can convince her to find a new home for some of her art in the living room and print a 50″ canvas for the great wall!

Great Job Marlene

the teacher becomes the pupil

This post is long overdue.  I spent a recent Friday and Saturday with my very good friend, Patty at her home.  It was time for another “Patty” day – but this time it was two days!    The weekend was planned for both of us.  I needed help with slide shows – she needed help with...
