One of my favorite times of year to visit Walt Disney World is December when all the decorations are on display. Here are just some of the many that we saw!
This is a wreath in the Norway Pavillion in Epcot. Notice the mitts and sock in this wreath! Reminds me of my childhood!
This was on one of the trees in the Germany Pavillion – they had some fabulous looking trees.
Some ornaments in the Germany Pavillion…
I loved this tree with the Teddy Bears in another shop in Germany!
One evening we had dinner in the Biergarten Restaurant in Germany. The food was fabulous and once again reminded me of meals that my Mom and Grandma used to cook! The highlight of the evening was the floor show – the Oktoberfest Musikanten band who performed and sang traditional Christmas Carols. The highlight of my entire trip was when they sang Stille Nacht (Silent Night) as well as some German songs with the young children listening raptly – it brought back memories of Christmases at my Grandma’s house! I must say that this put me in the Christmas spirit and brought tears to my eyes!
These three “Mickey” wreaths were on display at the Pop Century Resort – Mickey Mouse does creep into the decorations! ![]()
On my birthday we moved from the Pop Century Resort to the Animal Kingdom Lodge. My first time at AKL. Oh my goodness – what a magical place! It brought back memories of my African safari last October! The lobby had a 5 story, gorgeous tree!….
The decor at the Animal Kingdom Lodge was breathtaking and I especially liked this tree on the courtyard between the Boma and Jiko Restaurants.
We walked over to the Kidani Village and saw some more great decorations (as well as giraffes and zebras)…
Check out my last post of my trip to Disney World. Here you will see some of my favorite images captured during the week we were there.
