Well it has been forever since I’ve posted images to my blog. What can I say? I was busy with the Stoney Brook Dance Company dance school photos – then I spent a week at the Professional Photographers of Canada National Convention held in Regina, Saskatchewan this year (I was honoured to be asked to judge on the portrait panel). Then I spent a couple of days of R&R at my good friends, Inge and Michael’s home in Brandon. Then back to photographing a lot of High School Senior portraits. This will be the first of many posts of the Seniors that came in for their portraits!
Anyway – now on to the first of many grads.
Josh Guenther came in on May 14 for his session.

I found Josh had his own style and I loved the suit he wore. I had just received some beautiful fresh tulips from a friend’s garden and I asked if he would hold them … I think it completed his unique look! ![]()
He had the most interesting sneakers and I made a point of photographing them.

Josh is also into sports and I did some shots of one of his favorite pasttimes…

He changed into his casual clothes and we did a few more shots.

Josh told me that he had just taken up running recently and that he was going to be competing in the Manitoba Marathon – which happened today – June 21st! I just checked the results and he completed the Full Marathon in 4:31:09 – which is amazing in the 30+ temperatures we had today! His Overall Position was 373/691. Position Amongst Gender: 290/487 and Position in Age Group was 6/9. Congratulations Josh!!!!
Two years ago I had the privilege of photographing Josh’s sister Ashlee. Since I didn’t have a Blog at that time, I’ll post a few of her images! Ashlee reminded me of a young Audrey Hepburn.

Stay tuned for more of my High School Seniors – Class of 2009!
Later.
