… If I never met you, I would have dreamt you into being …

I first met Marlie when she came to see me in September 2005.  She’s originally from South Africa living in Manitoba and has such a sweet demeanor.  She wanted portraits taken of her pet, Emily.  Emily was quite a handful and Marlie had to bribe her with treats!  I had a blast at that session!

Well, just recently Marlie called again and came in for a consult and I was introduced to little Xander!  What a sweet little boy.  Marlie is now married to Roy – moved away from here – but came back to see me to capture her new little family.

I really enjoy working with clients like this – the session just flowed so beautifully and every image I seemed to take I just knew was going to be a winner.  Here is a sampling of some of my favorite images from that session…

When I asked Marlie to sign my guest book… this is what she wrote… “Marlene: You have captured a treasury of moments for my family.  What a privilege to be able to see the world and it’s beauty through your eyes.  I could not be more appreciative for the kindness and professionalism with which you approach your work.”

Thank you Marlie, Roy and Xander!  Hope to see you again.

Marlie du Plessis - I found us on your blog ! Still remember that eerily overwhelming feeling of having Xander handed to me after his birth, and thinking: Who is this stranger ? Who is this little boy ? Now, not even 4 months later, I look at these pictures and think: I recognize you ! You are everything we ever longed for ! I know your gentle heart, your brave little soul, your early morning happy chatter, the very wonderful smell of you… And that is what your pictures do, Marlene. Thank you always.
Marlie
