One of my “funnest” families!

On Saturday I photographed an interesting family! Daughter Erin had purchased a Gift Certificate for mom and dad a year ago Christmas, but they just now came in for the portrait! When Nicky came in for the consult I immediately realized that this session would be a lot of FUN! I found out that they wanted a casual, informal portrait – my favorite type of session!:-)

The session was booked for 11:00 am and Farrell came in at 10:55 wearing shorts and a T-Shirt! Hey – it’s February – and there is a lot of snow out there, not to mention it’s cold! He was carrying his change of clothing and one of the first things out of his mouth was… “Nicky kicked me out of bed at 4:00 this morning…” I didn’t ask. Just a few minutes later the rest of the family arrived. First one in the door was Nick and I looked up at him and, with a laugh, commented, “Didn’t you know we had a height restriction in the studio?” He replied that his Dad put him on a stretching rack! Again…I didn’t ask. Then the rest arrived. The decision was made to go barefoot in the session, and one of the girls (I won’t mention who) wailed that she didn’t know about that and she hadn’t removed her toe nail polish off two of her toes! Of course, the guys now had to tease her about that! Before we went into the camera room – everyone was laughing and I knew then it was going to be a fun session!

Here is a sampling of a few of the photos done that day!

I love this next image!  It so totally shows exactly how much fun and silliness they have together!

We then photographed the three siblings -  I didn’t get a ‘normal’ image of the three of them together – but I love all of these – you can just see how much fun they have together – oh, go ahead – say you love each other! :-)

Nicky told me at our consultation that she doesn’t like to have her portrait taken as she “doesn’t take good pictures” – luckily she wasn’t the one taking the photos!  She is so beautiful (inside and out) and these are perhaps my favorite images – I like the way they interact with each other – can’t you just feel how much they love each other?

I’m going to leave you with this last image – it’s so fun and no one would know what it’s all about except for the family – I’m sure it will elicit a laugh or two!

Thanks Nicky, Farrell and family for choosing me to capture your ‘Love and Laughter’!
