Precious girls

Bobbi came in with her mom for a consult a while ago. Mom booked an extended family session and Bobbi wanted to have her own little family photographed. I suggested that perhaps we should do the family and girls on another day. My experience has been that a child’s attention span is as long as what their age is!:-)

I showed Bobbi my new ‘white room’ renovation. I added this addition to my studio in 1990 – but in the past 5 years I have rarely used it. I moved the back wall 4 feet closer to the window – installed a very light maple laminate floor and painted the walls ‘Cloud White’. When Bobbi viewed the room during the consult – it wasn’t finished – she decided this was the look for her. It was finished just 3 days ago – and this was my first session in the room.

We started off the session with the 3 year old – and we got some absolutely precious, timeless images of her!

Then we photographed the three girls (7 year old twins!) and another wonderful image was captured.

These girls were such fun to photograph! They giggled, and they danced for me. This is one of my favorite images!

Next came a beautiful warm moment with Bobbi and the twins. Another one of my favorite images. Doug loved this image when he first saw it projected!

And then it came time to photograph the family. At this point the girls were getting a bit antsy, but we got some wonderful storytelling images of the closeness of their family. From when I clicked the shutter for the first time till the last image – the entire session took just 40 minutes! And we have some wonderful images.

Thank you Doug and Bobbi for being my first family photographed in my new “White Room”. Thank you for sharing your girls with me for a short while – I loved their laughter and giggles, their silliness and fun, their dancing and smiles!
