A glamorous Business Portrait

Marlene (yes, another Marlene) came in the other day to have a business head shot done. I photographed her 5 years ago when she became a real estate agent for Century 21 Gold Key Realty in Steinbach. She is starting a new endeavor and will be selling some gorgeous jewellery from Signature Collection Jewellery. We had a great time at the session and couldn’t decide if the black and white outfit or the purple one was the better choice – so she chose both!

She told me at the session that she had just reached a milestone birthday (I won’t mention which one!) and that her children presented her with a Hot Air Balloon ride as a gift! She was looking forward to it! “Another thing off my bucket list!”, she said. Way to go Marlene!

Family with Quads

When Sherry called me a couple of weeks ago, I asked her what we were going to do this time. She suggested we photograph her family outdoors as they do spend much time out there. I asked her if she had any ‘props’ she wanted to bring and she asked “Can we bring our quads?” Of course! Well, we booked the session for September 1st – but, wouldn’t you know it – the weather didn’t co-operate! It was pouring rain. So we rescheduled to the following week and we were blessed with gorgeous weather! I photographed Taylor on his grad earlier this year and we got some wonderful images. So, he seemed to be happy to be here as he knew it was going to be a quick, easy and fun session! Check out some of the great images we got!

Little Cavan brought his parents in for a family portrait session celebrating his first birthday. What a serious little boy! A challenge for me! I love challenges. I recall a lot of laughter, tickling, clapping and playing ‘peek-a-boo’. But that’s what it’s all about! I couldn’t choose my favorite one – so here are my favorites.

Hartley – High School Senior

Hartley is my most recent High School Senior grad to come in for photographs. She wasn’t in much of a rush to get in before the end of the last school year – and so we had some beautiful weather to photograph her outdoors on my Western Set Background! Her smile lights up a room and she is so lovely! Her sister, Meagan Perron, did her make-up for her! She did a fabulous job with the make-up! Enjoy!

Fun – fun – fun – and exhausting!

Last Tuesday, right after the long weekend, I photographed a family that has been here numerous times over the years! I remember photographing Carissa when she turned 16 and now she is the mother of two very cute and very active young children. When you have children like this, why would you even attempt to have them sit quietly with angelic expressions? That doesn’t show what they’re truly like! I’m not saying they’re not angelic – they are gorgeous – and when they come to the studio, I get to capture their little personalities. Love it. Okay, enough said… here are some of my favorite images from that session!

One of the advantages of photographing my clients, again and again, is that we develop a wonderful rapport and it makes is so easy to get natural expressions! Peter, Trudy, Carissa, Ernest, Allie & Elijah, Jirah and Ginny – it’s always a pleasure!
