13 days overdue and she’s here!

On January 23, 5 lb. 10 oz. Brooke Faye arrived.  Her parents were waiting and waiting….. but Brooke decided to make her entrance on her terms!   What a gorgeous little girl!   Look at those lips.  She’ll definitely be a heart-breaker one day!

sweet, sleeping Caleb

On Saturday I had the privilege of photographing little 2½ week old Caleb.  His mom warned me that he likes to sleep… and sleep he did!   He had beautiful dark hair and so easy to photograph - no fussing at all.  I love photographing little ones and seeing all their wee little personalities come through...

I first met Marlie when she came to see me in September 2005.  She’s originally from South Africa living in Manitoba and has such a sweet demeanor.  She wanted portraits taken of her pet, Emily.  Emily was quite a handful and Marlie had to bribe her with treats!  I had a blast at that session!

July 22, 2009 - 7:28 am Marlie du Plessis - I found us on your blog ! Still remember that eerily overwhelming feeling of having Xander handed to me after his birth, and thinking: Who is this stranger ? Who is this little boy ? Now, not even 4 months later, I look at these pictures and think: I recognize you ! You are everything we ever longed for !
